lightstock_325941_small_jamesDo you struggle with fear, anxiety, and worry? When you do struggle, where do you turn? When God created us, He created us dependent, and dependent on counsel, and we will be molded, changed and shaped by the counsel to which we listen?

Unfortunately, too many people turn to everyone and everything but God for counsel. In this podcast, listen to how God counsels those of us who are fearful. Hear these precious promises from God that can support you during the most times.

Help Us, O God!

Do you find your overwhelmed by the brokenness of this world? Do you find yourself fearing the destruction that may come upon us? Where do you turn in your fears? Where do you turn to for help? Whom do you cry out to in the midst of your pain?Psalm-79-9-300x227

In this message on Psalm 79, we find where our help truly comes. This psalm teaches us that is right to cry out to God in our pain and sorrow. It also helps us to see that it is wise to ask God questions about things that confuse us and tempt us to doubt. We also learn that is good to pray: passionately, persistently, and specifically. This psalm is also a chance for us to review how loving, gracious, and faithful is our God.

I Know That God is for Me: Moving from Fear to Faith

Psalm 56

David was a man on the run. He had no home. He had no rest in the land of the Philistines.

David was on the run from a persecuting King Saul and threatened by the enemies of Philistine. David had been anointed, King. He knew the promise of that kingship. He also knew that there were seemingly overwhelming threats around him.

He cries out for mercy in this Psalm. He reminds himself of the promises of God. He trusts in the person of God. We can learn much from what he learned.

Victory

David knew that there was fear that needed to be replaced with faith.

He was aware that there were those that wanted to destroy him yet in spite of this he sought out his Deliverer. He was mindful of the fact that he needed to move from spiraling to some level of stability in his life. Click the link below to listen to a message from Psalm 56:1-13 http://thechapelnj.sermon.net/main/main/20710956
